a photo and a quote

Two things I love: poetic language and a string of lights.

“So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys – to woo women. And, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays.”

    bestbest,
    tara.

    • It’s a good reminder, isn’t it? I write quite often and hope this also pushes me away from those words that are easy to use, but uncreative in the end. Thanks for reading!
